In response to malicious activities by certain project teams in the “Discovery Zone,” including market manipulation and intentional dumping that disrupted the trading ecosystem, the Ju.com Security and Compliance Team has conducted thorough investigations and tracking. We hereby announce the handling progress and subsequent asset disposal plan as follows:
I. Incident Classification and Asset Freezing
Investigations have confirmed that certain project teams engaged in malicious sell-offs through违规 means, severely disrupting the normal price discovery mechanism and causing abnormal volatility across multiple projects. To protect investors, the platform promptly implemented emergency risk control measures, successfully freezing and confiscating all related assets of the offending parties, including margin funds and illicit gains.
II. “Penalty as Compensation”:
JU Buyback & Burn Program The platform is committed to maintaining a fair ecosystem. All illicit gains from malicious actors will be returned to ecosystem contributors. We have decided to launch a dedicated buyback and burn program:
- Funding Source: Confiscated assets from malicious manipulation, with an estimated total value of USD 20 million.
- Execution Plan: The platform will utilize these funds to repurchase JU tokens from the secondary market in phases.
- Burn Mechanism: All repurchased JU tokens will be transferred to a black hole address for permanent destruction.
- Objective: Transform malicious assets into deflationary momentum for JU, offset negative market impacts, and restore ecosystem value.
III. Transparency and Disclosure
The buyback process will be executed in stages. The platform will regularly disclose the total amount of funds used, the number of JU tokens burned, and the corresponding on-chain transaction hashes (TxIDs), ensuring full traceability and auditability of all fund flows.
